Two Palm Desert eateries were investigated by Riverside County health inspectors due to complaints, according to reports.
Jersey Mike's Subs and Saigon Deli & Ujitime Dessert were investigated by inspectors, regarding hot and cold water availability for the former. Water was available at all sinks in the facility, according to reports. It was not stated what inspectors were investigating at Saigon Deli & Ujitime Dessert, only that the eatery was closed at the time of their arrival.
Here are the restaurants that were inspected in the Coachella Valley Sept. 25 through Oct. 1:
Complaint investigation
Jersey Mike's Subs, 72-393 Highway 111, Suite B, Palm Desert
- Inspection conducted in conjunction with a complaint on Sept. 29.
- Inspectors observed running hot and cold water at all sinks (three-compartment sink, prep sink, handwash sink, restroom sink).
- No score was given during this visit.
Saigon Deli & Ujitime Dessert, 73-510 Highway 111, Palm Desert
- Complaint investigation conducted Sept. 30.
- At time of inspection, facility was closed. Facility is only approved to operate if offering menu items that do not require the use of the ventilation hood.
