Temperatures may still be warm in the Coachella Valley, but it's officially fall, and that means pumpkin spice season is back.
Autumnal lovers may not get crunchy, colorful leaves in the desert, but they do get to enjoy a number of seasonal drinks offered at various cafes. Throughout the month of September, coffee shops all throughout the Coachella Valley
have been releasing fall menu items to make the 90-degree days feel a little cozier.Here are five shops throughout the Coachella Valley offering pumpkin spice drinks and other fall-themed menu items.
Cafe La Jefa
Location: 750 N. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs
This Palm Springs cafe released
seven seasonal drinks to ring in the fall. Those looking for fall classics will find a pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin cream cold brew and pumpkin chai latte on the menu. Among the fall signature drinks menu, Cafe La Jefa is serving up Em's Spanish latte (with vanilla, cinnamon and condensed milk), a salted walnut maple shaken espresso and the Emerald Fog (matcha, lavender and housemade earl grey cold foam).
Desert Kid Coffee
Location: 44-850 San Pablo Ave., Palm Desert
Palm Desert's Desert Kid Coffeehas a variety of unique flavors available to customers this fall. The seasonal menu includes a Maple Brown Butter Latte (made with Vermont maple and brown butter syrup, espresso, milk and cookie crumble), Sunny’s Way (cold brew, cream top and cocoa powder), It’s Mandatory, PSL (pumpkin spice sauce, espresso, milk and pumpkin spice), Desert Fog Matcha Latte (earl grey syrup, matcha, milk and lavender sprig), Austin’s Tonic (pear cordial, fig compote, espresso, tonic and dried fig) and Pear + Fig Matcha Latte (pear cordial, fig compote, matcha, milk and dried fig).
Everbloom Coffee
Location: 81730 Highway 111, Suite 14, Indio and 45-125 Smurr St., Indio
Everbloom'sseasonal menu kicked off Sept. 21 with three new drinks available at both of its Indio locations. The menu consists of the Pumpkin Patch (pumpkin puree, browned butter and housemade pumpkin spice), Maplemoon (salted maple pecan matcha) and Hayride (apple-infused, housemade chai drizzled with housemade butterscotch). Flavors can be enjoyed as coffee, matcha and chai drinks.
La Dolce Piccola Gelateria
Location: 73-255 El Paseo, Suite 20, Palm Desert
You read that right. Not only does La Dolce Piccola serve creamy gelato on Palm Desert's El Paseo, but it also has plenty of coffee and matcha drinks available to customers. Available on its new cafe menu is a pumpkin latte and matcha, as well as salted caramel and brown butter cookie drinks. Keep an eye out for any seasonal gelato flavors too.
Rutina Coffee
Location: 44-855 San Pablo Ave., Suite 1, Palm Desert
Rutina Coffee in Palm Desert most recently unveiled a handful of new drinks for its loyal customers. Those sticking with pumpkin flavors can try the Calabaza, which comes with a housemade pumpkin spice syrup made with brown sugar and real pumpkin. A pumpkin cream top is also available for iced Americanos, cold brews or lattes. Other flavors include flan (with notes of caramelized sugar, vanilla and custard), blueberry (made with housemade blueberry syrup) and ginger. Flavors are available for coffee, matcha and chai drinks.
