Greater Palm Springs Pride announced headliners for its upcoming 40th celebration: recording artist and television personality Aubrey O’Day and country supergroup The Cowgays.
The 40th annual Palm Springs Pride celebration, with the theme of "Be Included," will take place Nov. 6–8 in downtown Palm Springs and the Arenas District. The weekend event will feature live music, drag entertainment, DJs and a number of special performances spanning a range of genres and styles.
O'Day, who is a La Quinta High School graduate, rose to prominence as a founding member of the multi-platinum pop group Danity Kane, whose first two albums debuted consecutively at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. She later co-founded the alternative dance-pop duo dumblonde and has
continued to build a career in music, television, Broadway, performance and creative direction.
The Cowgays, whose members are Adam Mac, Brooke Eden and Chris Housman, is a Nashville-based group that brings three-part harmonies, musicianship, humor and theatricality to their live performances.
The organization said in a press release that additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks, bringing together regional favorites, emerging artists, and diverse talent from across the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.
In addition to performances, Palm Springs Pride weekend will culminate with the annual parade on Sunday, Nov. 8. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. along Palm Canyon Drive.
