Can you really return a used car after buying it? Starting Oct. 1, some California drivers can. A new state law gives buyers of certain used vehicles up to three days to cancel their purchase, but the right isn't automatic and important limits apply.
The law covers many used vehicles sold by licensed dealers for $50,000 or less, but excludes some transactions, including new vehicles and motorcycles. Buyers must meet strict deadlines, mileage limits and return requirements, and dealers may be allowed to charge certain fees.
