If you’ve been craving crinkle-cut fries and a SmokeShack, but don’t want to fight for a parking spot along El Paseo to get a fresh batch of them, you’re in luck.
Shake Shack has set the opening date for its newest location in La Quinta, expanding its presence in the Coachella Valley after opening its first spot in Palm Desert in 2024.
The New York-based burger chain will open its doors in La Quinta on Wednesday, Aug. 12. The new restaurant, located at 78-772 Highway 111 just east of Washington Street and near Kohl's, will be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Guests can expect the restaurant’s usual staples, including its ShackBurger, fried chicken sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries
and milkshakes, as well as some limited-time menu items, including offerings from its new West Coast menu.
Those who visit the La Quinta location on its opening day will receive Shake Shack-branded handheld fans, and Shake Shack plans to donate a dollar for every sandwich sold on the Aug. 12 opening day to FIND Food Bank.
The latest addition to the local burger scene comes nearly two years after Shake Shack opened its first location in the valley along Palm Desert's El Paseo, joining several national chains that have continued to expand in the valley in recent years, including Chick-fil-A, Raising Cane’sand the California staple, In-N-Out Burger.
