A food website has crowned this Korean-inspired egg sandwich the best breakfast sandwich in California.
Chowhound set out to find the best breakfast sandwich in every state, and named the Royal West sandwich from the Southern California chain Egg Tuck the best in California.
"While there are plenty of places you can grab a good breakfast sandwich in California, one spot that gets resoundingly stellar reviews is Egg Tuck," said Chowhound. "The chain specializes in Korean-inspired egg sandwiches and burritos."
What's in the Royal West from Egg Tuck?
The Royal West resembles a burger more than it does a traditional breakfast sandwich, featuring a sweet Korean beef patty, an over medium egg, cheddar cheese, grilled onions, pickles, chives, sriracha aioli and egg sauce, all served between
two slices of brioche bread.
If you've got a penchant for heat, Egg Tuck also sells a Spicy Royal West, which subs the sweet beef patty for a spicy one.
Beyond the Royal West, Egg Tuck has a number of options for breakfast, including scrambled egg sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and egg topped french fries and tater tots.
Egg Tuck is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The chain has 11 other locations across the Los Angeles area and one in San Diego.
