The new Coachella Valley Firebirds season is upon us and it is full of opportunities and high expectations.
We get you set for season five by talking to the man that pulls a lot of the strings for the Firebirds, as Coachella Valley general manger Troy Bodie sits down and chats with host Judd Spicer in the first edition of Fire & Ice Podcast presented by Desert Willow Golf Resort.
Bodie admits that he feels like a "proud dad" when he thinks about the first four years of this organization.
"We've produced NHL players we're seeing not just on the Kraken but on other teams, too, and it's something I'm truly proud of. I've said it before, when you get down in the weeds with these
players and really work with them and then see them achieve their dreams in he National Hockey League it's like you're a proud dad and that's the stuff that I remember and am proud of the most in the first four years," Bodie shared with Judd on the podcast.
Listen to Bodie's full interview with Spicer followed by some rapid-fire hot takes from Desert Sun Sports & Leisure Editor Shad Powers. Who does Powers think is the player that needs to step up the most this year?
