Getting to see Skrillex, Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, The Blessed Madonna and other electronic music heavyweights at the same festival is rare. Seeing them all perform on the same stage over one weekend makes one-off Goldenvoice music festival Head Trip even more exciting.
If you’ve got a pass for this once-in-a-lifetime festival (or you're still looking for one) and you’re ready to dance in the desert, we’ve got you covered on all the details of what to know before you arrive at the festival.
Where is Head Trip festival?
Head Trip is at the Empire Polo Club, located at 81-800 Avenue 51 in Indio (the same location as the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals).
When is Head Trip festival?
The festival will open at 3
p.m. both days of the fest (Saturday, Oct. 10 and Sunday, Oct. 11). The venue curfew is 1 a.m. on Saturday and midnight on Sunday.

Head Trip bag policy
Any bag 18" x 13" x 8.5" or smaller is allowed at Head Trip, and they do NOT have to be clear bags.
Do I need to register my wristband?
All attendees will be required to register their wristbands through the Head Trip app. The app features news, notifications, live updates and more before and during the festival. It is available to download on the App Store and Google Play.
What's required for entry other than my pass?
Unlike Coachella, Stagecoach and the previous "Trip" festivals, Head Trip is for those 18 and above and festivalgoers will need to provide a valid, physical government-issued photo ID upon entry. School IDs, expired IDs, photos or photocopies of IDs, and digital IDs will not be accepted.
What roads are closed due to Head Trip festival?
Primary routes to the Empire Polo Club include Washington, Monroe and Jefferson streets between Interstate 10 and Avenue 52, along with Highway 111 at Jefferson and Monroe. These streets have all historically been hard to access during festival weekends, so expect traffic.
Will any streets be closed to both through traffic and pedestrians?
Avenue 50 between Monroe Street and Madison streets will be closed to all through traffic and pedestrians. The closure will remain in place through 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 18.
Here are the recommended alternative routes:
- Highway 111
- Dr. Carreon Boulevard
- Avenue 48
- Avenue 52

Where do I park for Head Trip?
The festival’s free day parking lots will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and will open at 1 p.m. each day. Attendees should plan to arrive early to avoid delays, and no tailgating is allowed.
Camping or sleeping in your vehicle is not permitted and cars left after 2 a.m. will be towed. Additionally, no RVs, trailers or golf carts will be allowed to enter day parking.
ADA parking and other services are available. More information is available at headtripindio.com/ada. Motorcycles may park in ADA parking lot.

What do I need to know if I'm camping?
Camping will open on Friday and will be a three-night stay. Once you are parked in a camping spot, you may not move your vehicle for the duration of the festival until check-out. Sites require one car parked in each site, and you may have as many people camp in your site as you can comfortably fit. Everyone camping requires an event pass.
No RVs or motorhomes, motorcycles, trailers, buses or U-Haul trucks will be permitted in camping, or vehicles with running water and/or toilet, even with an empty tank.
Here are the hours for camping check-in:
- Friday: noon-midnight
- Saturday: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
- Sunday: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Check-out is at 9 a.m. on Monday morning.

How do lockers work?
Need a place to store that haul from the merch booth or those extra items you brought just in case? Good news, there will be lockers available to store your valuables, and you can reserve them now.
There are storage-only and charging lockers for those in GA, and VIP charging lockers in the VIP area.
