This week's entertainment calendar features a comedy show with comedians from one of the hottest comedy podcasts. It also includes the son of a late guitar rock legend who is continuing his father's legacy, a Texas blues-rock guitarist, and a metal vocalist wrapping up the final performances of his progressive rock concept album.

Comedy: Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe's podcast "Kill Tony," filmed at Joe Rogan's Comedy Mothership in Austin, has amassed over 2 million subscribers on YouTube. The show has featured numerous viral moments, including Post Malone's guest appearance and a duel between one of the show's regulars, Hans Kim, and an unknown comedian named Ric Diez,
in which Kim fought to retain his spot on the show.
The show has expanded outside of the Comedy Mothership into arenas, and its regulars also tour the comedy circuit. On Saturday, the Killers of Kill Tony will perform at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. Kim, William Montgomery, David Lucas, and Martin Phillips are scheduled to appear during the show.

Surf-rock: During the 1960s, Dick Dale pioneered the surf-rock genre with his fast tremolo-picking style. That sound influenced many rock guitarists and still does today. Dale died in 2019, but his son Jimmy Dale is continuing that legacy, and has been playing music since he was 2.
Jimmy Dale will perform on Thursday at Pappy and Harriet’s. The local band Salton City Surf Club will also perform.

Rock: Former Queensryche frontman Geoff Tate has retained the legal rights to perform the “Operation: Mindcrime” album live with his solo band, and he said this will be the last tour to feature live performances of the entire album. The 1988 progressive metal concept album, set in a dystopian society, features the story of Nikki, a drug addict who becomes involved in a political revolutionary group.
Tate will perform on Friday at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa.

Blues: If you’re a fan of Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa or Texas-style blues, you’ll appreciate Chris Duarte, who describes his sound as a cross between rock and punk-blues.
On Friday, Duarte will perform at The Dune Room. The local band Bad Jim and The Bonethumpers will also perform.
