In-person early voting begins on Oct. 15 and ends on Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 5 p.m. Oct. 20, and those must be returned to the local board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Election Day is set for Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Zizack: Affordable quality of life. Maximizing financial efficiency with cost optimization. Temporary 12 month freeze on Data Centers with county staff developed land-use plan.

What is the biggest infrastructure need in Pender County?
Zizack: Fully-funded schools, clean water, supported law enforcement, preserving and expanding green spaces and third spaces.
How should Pender County balance growth and development with the need for more infrastructure and government services?
Zizack: Public collaboration and a funded, phased plan developed with state agencies that is reviewed semiannually. We should also earmark a restricted revenue channel—other than property tax—that grows alongside our population.
