Wilmington DJ and producer RizzyBeats is a fixture on the Port City's cultural scene.

If you don't get to say hi to him behind the counter at Gravity Records on Castle Street, you might see him performing at hip-hop shows or spinning records at a variety of events.

Suffice to say, Rizzy is one of the fine folks who makes up the fabric of Wilmington, and this weekend you've got a couple of chances to catch him in action, and for some good causes no less.

On Saturday, Sept. 26, from 5-10 p.m. he'll be part of an epic show at Savard Beer & Board on South Front Street with the Northside Food Co-op.

Billed as "106 & Party," a nod to the "106 & Park" video countdown show that aired on BET in the 2000s, it'll feature Rizzy backing NYC rapper Skyzoo, local

favs Haji P, Fuzz Jaxx and P-Grant, and top Wilmington singer Bianca Shaw. It's a free show, but donations to Northside are encouraged.

On Sunday, Sept. 27, from 5-8 p.m. you can find RizzyBeats at Waterline Brewing downtown, where he's doing an all-vinyl salsa set to raise money for Colombian earthquake victims. It's being billed as "Salsa for Colombia" and all donations go to World Central Kitchen.
