The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office said it is conducting a death investigation at an Ogden home.
Deputies dispatched after a 911 call found a woman dead and a man suffering from a gunshot wound at 7814 Sanderling Place off of Marsh Oaks Drive, according to First Lt. J.J. Brewer, public information officer for the sheriff’s office. The incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. on Aug. 11, Brewer said.
The man was transported to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, where he is in critical condition, Brewer said.
The two individuals were not identified.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
