A woman charged in connection with a stabbing in downtown Wilmington in April recently pleaded guilty.
Jazya Monoe Muldrow-Green, 20, pleaded guilty to guilty to assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and was sentenced to 2 1/2 to 4 years in prison on Aug. 13 for cutting another woman
during an early morning fight on April 6, according to a news release from the district attorney's office. The incident occurred around the same time and less than a block away from an unrelated stabbing that resulted in the death of a U.S. Marine.

Around 2:10 a.m., an argument between a small group of women led to a physical altercation between Muldrow-Green and the victim. Muldrow-Green held a knife and a cell phone in her hand as she struck the other
woman multiple times.
The victim suffered severe injuries to her arms and hands before Muldrow-Green was pulled away. Muldrow-Green thereafter handed the knife to another individual who discarded it not far from where the incident occurred. The knife was found and collected by responding officers. Investigators later obtained a cell phone video of the assault that was recorded by a bystander who recorded the melee.
