The C.W. Worth House Bed & Breakfast in Wilmington has been named the No. 1 bed-and-breakfast in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice travel awards, marking its fourth consecutive appearance among the contest's top-ranked properties.
The honor was announced by the Wilmington and Beaches Convention & Visitors Bureau and comes after public voting in the annual travel competition, according to a community announcement.
Located in a Queen Anne-style home built in 1893, the C.W. Worth House is Wilmington's longest-operating bed-and-breakfast. It ranked No. 1 in the contest in 2023, 2025 and 2026 and placed No. 4 in 2024.
"The Wilmington and Beaches CVB applauds the C.W. Worth House B&B for maintaining its number one spot in the 2026 USA TODAY 10Best
Readers' Choice travel award contest for Best Bed and Breakfast," Kim Hufham, president and CEO of the New Hanover County Tourism Development Authority, said in the announcement. "This national recognition for four consecutive years is a testament to the innkeepers’ commitment to excellence and shines a spotlight on Wilmington’s bed-and-breakfast inns."
The property is owned by Jeff Mason and Jennifer Blomberg, who purchased the inn in February 2022 and undertook a full renovation, according to the announcement.
Guests at the inn are offered a gourmet breakfast and complimentary evening wine social hour. Amenities include a fire pit, water garden and a third-floor game room with a billiards table. The property is three blocks from the Wilmington Riverwalk, providing access to more than 200 shops, restaurants, attractions and tours.
Recognition continues for Wilmington inn
The latest ranking extends a streak of national recognition for the downtown Wilmington property.
"Winning the number one spot again this year — and staying at the top every year since 2023 — is an absolute thrill and an incredible honor," Mason and Blomberg said in a statement. "Creating an unforgettable stay with warm, personalized service where modern luxury meets historic character is a daily labor of love for us.
