While many people flock to the Wilmington area to relax on one of the many sandy beaches, others come to play a round or two.
With more than 30 places to play in New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties, each one offers something a little different.
There are championship golf courses designed by world class golfers, such as the Fred Couples course at Carolina National Golf Club, the Arnold Palmer course at Rivers Edge and the Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus courses at the Country Club of Landfall.
Golfers wanting a Scottish links-style golfing experience can find it at courses like Castle Bay Golf Links in Hampstead and The Thistle Golf Club in Sunset Beach.
There are private and semi-private golf clubs, public and municipal courses, world class golf resorts,
and courses that are great for those just starting out.
Now, it’s time to find out where folks in the Wilmington area like to golf. Take a look at the places listed below and vote for your favorite or show your support for a couple of them. (You can vote more than once.)
