A Supply man faces a murder charge in Brunswick County, according to county records.
Zachary Aaron Craddock, 22, is charged in connection with the death of Stephen Russell Bradshaw, a magistrate’s order in Brunswick County District Court states.
The incident involving the death of Bradshaw, 41, occurred on Aug. 26 at approximately 5:30 p.m. at Craddock's residence on Fawnbrook Lane in Supply, according to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office. Craddock was taken into custody later that night without incident, charged with murder and booked into the Brunswick County jail, per the sheriff's office.
Craddock's release was not authorized. Any bond must be set by a judge, court records state.
The magistrate’s order notes that a judicial official found
probable cause to support the murder charge based on an oath from the arresting officer.
Craddock’s first court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 27 in the Brunswick County Courthouse.
It is believed to be an isolated incident with no known threat to the public, the sheriff's office said. The investigation remains ongoing.
