Another week of high school football action in North Carolina is coming to fans a day early.
After the opening day of the 2026 NCHSAA season was riddled with weather-related schedule changes and postponements, Week 2 may not be so different.
Over 50 schools across the state have moved their Week 2 games, including several in the Wilmington area, due to inclement weather.
Some schools are still planning to play Friday, including all four New Hanover County programs. Find updated schedules below.

Week 2 games set for Thursday, Aug. 27
- South Brunswick at North Brunswick (7 p.m.)
- Pender at Red Springs (7 p.m.)
- East Columbus at Trask (7 p.m.)
- West Brunswick at Whiteville (7 p.m.)
Week 2 games set for Friday, Aug. 28
- Jack Britt at Hoggard (7 p.m.)
- E.E. Smith at Ashley (7 p.m.)
