I recently had a chance to try some Chef Remy Adriano's food at his new kitchen home in Wilmington. It's difficult to say which was the favorite. Maybe the boeuf en croute? The lovely halibut with a fresh
sauce? Or the classic crepes Suzette? Fortunately, this fab French fare isn't going anywhere. Learn more, and check out this week's food and restaurant news, below.
Good eats
From France: After working in some of the best kitchens in France, Chef Adriano has completed a years-long process to become a resident. And now Wilmington can only benefit from his talents, in the form of an approachable bistro menu, at this local restaurant.

You can help: If you're craving a Beef on Weck or a soup flight (which can include two types of cool gazpacho this hot, hot week) you can help this restaurant in the Brooklyn Arts District. While the owner is waiting for a financial reorganization to come through, she is appealing for her fans and customers. Here are some details.
Cool bars
Upscale spaces: One thing to note in a relatively new billiards bar in downtown Wilmington, is how many cool spaces are in this historic property. A perfect sofa lounge in a window overlooking Front Street, classic pool tables and a bar, and a back patio.

Admit it: Speaking of downtown bars, another space recently changed hands and has re-opened. You can still find live music, like dueling pianos, as well as a special menu from a nearby steakhouse.
Tiki vibes: There's also a new bar (and restaurant) that promises to be a vacation when you walk through the door. You can get some details about this business near Wrightsville Beach here.
