The downtown Wilmington bar where a man was shot and killed earlier this summer has closed and a new business appears to be taking its place.
Unhinged Bar closed in late June. Two notices bearing the Wilmington
Downtown, Inc. name and logo posted on windows at the 141 North Front St. location state, “NEW BUSINESS COMING SOON.”
Just what that new business is remains a mystery, though. Phone messages left for Wilmington Downtown, Inc. were not returned by the deadline.
Unhinged Bar was the spot of the fatal shooting of Emir Moore, 23, in the early morning on June 6. Moore died from a gunshot wound at the scene, according to Wilmington police.

Trayquan Maleak Hasty, 29, of Castle Hayne was arrested on June 11 in connection with the shooting and charged.
