With a new business planned next to Texas Roadhouse, a Leland shopping center is nearing its capacity.
Leland residents have seen Leland Town Center take off since 2016. Roughly 10 years later and the commercial development is reaching its final stages.
Leland Town Center is located off U.S. 17 and consists of several standalone properties and multi-tenant buildings. Much of the center is managed by C&S Commercial Properties, a Fayetteville-based, multi-faceted real estate company.
The development started with ALDI opening in late 2017 with the shopping center adding new businesses each year ever since. However, the center is slowing down on availability.
Current tenants
The area currently hosts 7-Eleven, Lowe's Home Improvement, Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Dunkin,
Firehouse Subs, Mavis Tires & Brakes, Eggs Up Grill, HotWorx 24-Hr Infrared Fitness Studio, Al's Burger Shack, Dental Care, AT&T, Hall of Fame Car Wash, Lavish Nails and Alliance Animal Health.
An O2 Fitness Signature facility was fully constructed at 4139 Holden Loop in June 2025. Representatives have told residents it will be coming soon since but the fitness center remains unopened.
Last available properties
Only two vacant parcels totaling approximately five acres are left, according to the C&S Commercial Properties. One property is located next to Texas Roadhouse and O2 Fitness, the other is roughly 3-acres in size behind Lowes Home Improvement.
Next steps for the shopping center
Currently, residents and drivers can see site work being conducted at the Texas Roadhouse site across from Mavis Tires & Brakes.
The town of Leland earlier this month conditionally approved plans for Atlantic Union Bank. If fully built, the bank will be located off Gateway Boulevard on the property adjacent to Texas Roadhouse.
The master site plan shows potential for another small retail center to be built off Tradeway Drive on property neighboring Texas Roadhouse. The plan also promotes construction of a hotel and commercial area behind Lowes Home Improvement.
