The 2026 North Carolina high school football season is already halfway complete for most teams.
As conference play began Friday, Sept. 18, five weeks of action are now in the books. With no undefeated Wilmington-area squads remaining, the final stretch of the 2026 regular season becomes even more intense.
Now fans can voice their opinion in the 2026 StarNews Midseason football player of the year Poll, which includes 33 nominees.
