Now it's time to recognize a group that often doesn't get the same spotlight: cheerleaders.
From Friday night football games to winter basketball crowds, cheerleaders are a vital part of the high school sports experience. They energize fans, lead chants and deliver performances that make game nights memorable.
Now it's your chance to vote for the Wilmington area's best high school cheerleading squad. All 14 area high schools are eligible. Voting closes Aug. 10 at 11:59 p.m.
