The Chatham County Police Department is seeking to identify a boater involved in an incident on county waterways last week, according to a CCPD press release.
The identification search stems from an Oct. 13 incident on Wilmington River near Tybee Cut, the press release said. Detectives are currently seeking information about the individual driving a vessel from the incident and have released a photo of the individual and boat.
The press release also said CCPD is searching for more information on the vessel beyond the registration identified through a photograph released by the department.

The photo shows the individual in a black hat, sunglasses and silver jon boat. CCPD is not releasing further details about the incident due to the investigation
being ongoing, the press release said.
CCPD’s Marine Patrol and Investigations Division has been working on the case since it was reported last week, the press release said. CCPD is the lead investigative agency in the case.
