Historic Savannah Foundation will host “A B.S. in History: Historical Fact or Hysterical Fiction,” a comedy event centered on artifacts from the Davenport House Museum collection, at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 22.
The event will take place at 323 E. Broughton St., according to a community announcement. Participants will hear competing stories about objects from the museum's collection and try to identify which version is historically accurate.
“We can’t wait to host the Davenport House Museum’s first-ever night of comedy and dubious history on Oct. 22,” Davenport House Museum Executive Director Danielle Hodes said. “Local comedians will invite audience members to distinguish fact from fiction, which can prove more difficult than one might expect.”

Comedian
J. Steinbrunner will emcee the program. Three local comedians will present six artifacts selected from the museum collection. Each performer will know the true history of one object while improvising stories about the others.
Audience members will help determine which artifacts are featured. After hearing three versions of each object's story, attendees will vote on which comedian is telling the truth.
Organizers say the evening will include unusual artifacts, unexpected stories and audience participation.
Ticket information
The event is open to the public and intended for adults ages 18 and older.
General admission tickets cost $20. Table seating is available for $30 per person, with five seats at each table.
Tickets can be purchased through fareharbor.com.
