The State of Georgia has made a $12.6 million purchase in Savannah, according to recent property transfer records.
The property is zoned heavy industrial and located at the Spa Industrial Park near Pooler and the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport. The purchased property is about 9 acres with office and warehouse space located on the site. The property was sold by Palm Way Investments LLC.
The Spa Industrial Park is also home to multiple warehouse properties.
In response to a request for comment, the Georgia State Properties Commission referred the Savannah Morning News to the Georgia Department of Corrections for comment. The GDOC did not respond to a request for comment about the purchase by publication time. This story will be updated
