High school cross country has already hit the midpoint of the season as runners look to peak for the GHSA State Meets set for Nov. 6-7 in Carrollton.
Richmond Hill has the best team in the area once again under veteran coach Levi Sybert.The Wildcats won the Orthowest Invitational Class 5A-7A race on Sept. 12 at the Carrollton course that will host the state meet with junior Derek Feske finishing second in 17:16.66, while Wildcat freshman Liam Penttila was fifth in 17:29.37, just in front of teammate Eddie Howell who was sixth in 17:30.71.
