Report ranks 3 Georgia cities among the country's best places to live

has plenty of places to hang your hat, but what's the best? Back in May, U.S. News & World Report released its list of the top cities to live based on affordability/cost of living, quality of life, desirability, and the job market.

Three in Georgia made it in the top 50. The crown went to Johns Creek followed by Alpharetta and Roswell. Each was given a state and national score calculated using the Census, Federal Reserve, local and state sources, and other databases.

4. Smyrna (No. 148 in US)
5. Warner Robins (No. 168 in US)
6. Dalton (No. 203 in US)
7. Columbus (No. 272 in US)
8. Rome (No. 292 in US)
9. Macon (No. 293 in US)
10. Athens (No. 381 in US)
