Each Georgian has their own opinion of which restaurant has the best chicken. But in its most recent edition, QSR Magazine had the money talk based on annual, system-wide sales data reported by the companies.
Best chicken restaurant
The most successful Georgia-based restaurant on the list landed in the No. 1 spot: Chick-fil-A with $23.9 billion. In second place overall was Popeyes with over $5.6 billion and in third was Raising Cane's with over $5.4 billion.
The other two Georgia-based chains to make it on the list were Zaxby's at No. 6 with over $2.7 billion and Church's Chicken at No. 10 with $862 million.

Chick-fil-A chicken and waffles
A new item on Chick-fil-A's menu is the chicken and waffle sandwich available as both a breakfast and entrée option, featuring
its signature filet, three strips of applewood-smoked bacon, and honey butter spread between two maple-flavored waffles, served warm with a side of syrup. Customers can customize their sandwich with their preferred filet option − Original, Spicy or Grilled. The breakfast sandwich starts at $4.95, while the entrée starts at $7.59, but prices vary according to location.
The chain also added two unique items for washing it down: S'mores milkshake and s'mores frosted coffee.
The restaurant will offer it all beginning Aug. 24.

Chick-fil-A restaurants open at 6:30 a.m. with breakfast running until 10:30 a.m.
