FormerGeorgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greenetook aim at PresidentDonald Trump on Sunday after receiving an email from Trump's political operation asking whether he had "done something wrong."
Greene, who has become increasingly critical of her former political ally, shared the apparent campaign email on Xon Oct. 11 and responded with a lengthy list of grievances against the president.
"Oh he sent me an email, I think I’ll respond," Greene wrote. "So yes, actually you did do something wrong President Trump, let’s first start with your broken campaign promises."
Greene then criticized Trump over his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, accusing him of protecting people connected to Epstein and arguing that the administration has not released all of the records
she believes should be made public.
"You protected your pedophile rapists friends instead of women who were raped when they were just teenage girls and you STILL REFUSE to release the Epstein files," Greene wrote.
Her comments were part of a broader break with Trump that has intensified over the past year.
Greene has previously criticized the president over Epstein-related issues, foreign policy and what she views as failures to follow through on his "America First" agenda.
Greene blasts Trump over Iran
Greene also sharply criticized Trump over the war in Iran, calling it an "unprovoked war" and saying the conflict does not have broad support among Americans.
She blamed Trump for deaths and injuries she said resulted from the conflict, including the deaths of 21 U.S. service members and 865 wounded.
"Your stupid war that you claim you have won like 50 times has destroyed our bases in the Middle East and hundreds of billions of dollars worth of military equipment and weapons, while depleting our weapons and ammunitions," Greene wrote.
Trump has continued to defend his administration's actions involving Iran. The president announced Oct. 8 that the U.S. would not resume military strikes against Iran before the Nov. 3 midterm elections while negotiations continued.
Greene also targets Trump's Gaza policy
Greene went on to accuse Trump of "supporting, funding, and aiding genocide in Gaza."
She cited figures for children killed, children who have undergone amputations and orphans, though those figures were presented as part of Greene's argument rather than independently verified in her post.
She also criticized Trump's "Board of Peace," writing that she believes it could oversee reconstruction in Gaza and questioning who could benefit financially from the rebuilding effort.
Greene's post eventually turned back to domestic issues, including the cost of living and fuel prices.
"And let’s talk about the basics that every single US president is supposed to guarantee to its citizens," Greene wrote. "Affordable cost of living and affordable fuel in which you have 100% failed to deliver."
'You are the snake'
Greene ended her response by turning one of Trump's own recurring political references against him.
"So did you do something wrong?" she wrote. "Yes in summary, YOU are the snake that you warned us all about in the poem you read over and over."
Greene was referring to "The Snake," a poem Trump has repeatedly used in political speeches.
She then accused Trump of abandoning the principles he campaigned on.
"You never cared about putting America first or making America great again,” Greene wrote. “You are the deep state, the Epstein class, and America last."
Greene concluded with a blunt assessment of her own past support for Trump.
"And my mistake was supporting you in the first place," she wrote.
The exchange marks another public escalation between Greene and Trump, who were once closely aligned politically. Greene left Congress in January 2026 after representing Georgia's 14th Congressional District.
