Parker’s Kitchen raised a record $617,000 for schools in Georgia and South Carolina through its 14th annual Fueling the Community Charity Golf Tournament in Savannah.
Nearly 300 golfers competed Oct. 19 at The Landings, according to a community announcement. The sold-out, scramble-format tournament was played on the Magnolia and Marshwood championship courses.

The $617,000 total exceeded Parker’s Kitchen’s $550,000 fundraising goal and topped last year’s record of $530,000.
“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our company’s 50th anniversary than to raise a record total at this year’s Fueling the Community Golf Tournament to support schools and to make a transformative impact in the communities we serve,” said Greg Parker, founder and executive
chairman. “At Parker’s Kitchen, we know that education uplifts communities and prepares students for future success, which is why education serves as the foundation of our charitable giving.”
Fueling the Community has raised more than $4 million
Parker’s Kitchen started its Fueling the Community charitable initiative in 2011. The company donates a portion of gas sold at Parker’s and Parker’s Kitchen locations on the first Wednesday of each month to area schools.
Including proceeds from this year’s tournament, the program has raised more than $4 million to support education.
The tournament also included live music, raffle drawings and an awards ceremony.

Riverside Refreshments won the tournament with a 15-under-par final score. The Pepsi Co. team finished second and Imperial Brady placed third.
Ryan Wilson of JW Wilson Electric won the Closest to the Pin Award on the Magnolia course, while Trevor McGee of McGee Corporation won the award on the Marshwood course.
Tyler Wilson of JW Wilson Electric won the Longest Drive Award on Magnolia. Austin Jaynes of CBI General Contractors won the Longest Drive Award on Marshwood.

Parker’s Kitchen details other charitable giving
Parker’s Kitchen has donated more than $30 million over the years toward education, health care access, childhood hunger and assistance for local veterans, according to the announcement.
The company also endowed the Parker’s Emergency and Trauma Center at Memorial Hospital in Savannah and donated $5 million to name the Parker College of Business at Georgia Southern University.
The Parker’s Community Fund, created in 2021 through a major donation from Greg Parker, also provided funding for Union Mission to open the Parker House for Women in Savannah. According to the announcement, the facility is the region’s first for women experiencing homelessness.
