President Donald Trump is heavily involved in the upcoming midterms, even doing a bit of campaigning in Georgia for gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson. But many voters have not been happy with him lately.
Trump approval hits record low in Georgia
Civiqs' poll focusing on Trump's second term has more than 134,000 responses which can be broken down by state. For Georgia, Trump started at 46% approval, 50% disapproval, and 4% neutral. Since mid-September, the president has been at 34% approval, 59% approval, and 7% neutral.
This is not only the lowest this poll has been, but it's also the lowest Trump has been in Georgia across both terms. The lowest Trump scored in Georgia on Civiqs' first term poll was 43% for, 54% against, and 3% neutral.

The below polls are Trump's approval rating in the
United States:
- AP News' poll from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research says Trump's approval rating stands at 31% for and 69% against as of Sept. 24.
- Fox News' poll says Trump stands at 39% for and 61% against as of Sept. 11-14.
- The New York Times' poll, which calculates a daily average of several other polls, says Trump stands at 37% for and 60% against as of Oct. 6.
- Reuters/Ipsos' poll says Trump stands at 32% for and 65% against as Oct. 5.
Who has the lowest presidential approval rating?
Although Trump's approval is fairly low, it's not the lowest ever according to Gallup. Harry Truman holds that record, whose worst recorded approval rating was 22%. More recent lows include George W. Bush whose lowest was 25% and Trump's first term when it got down to 34%.
How Americans feel about Trump personally
Civiqs has a few other polls asking more specific questions on the national level. On the question of "Generally speaking, do you think that Donald Trump’s presidency is good for people like you?" more than 44,000 people responded as of Sept. 30 with 34% saying "Yes," 58% saying "No," 7% indifferent, and 1% unsure.
On the question of "Do you think the Trump administration is doing a good job handling the economy?" over 121,000 people responded as of Oct. 1 with 29% answering "Yes," 64% answering "No," and 7% unsure.
Similarly, over 44,000 people were asked about who benefits most from Trump's economic policies. As of Oct. 5, 57% believe those policies mostly benefit the wealthy, 26% believe they help all people equally, 9% for the middle class, 7% of respondents were unsure, and only 1% believe the policies mostly help those in poverty.
When is Trump out of office?
Trump's presidency is scheduled to end on Jan. 20, 2029.
How long has Trump been president?
Trump's first term started on Jan. 20, 2017 and ended on Jan. 20, 2021. His second term started Jan. 20, 2025.
