Restaurants like Subway and Jersey Mike's may have some competition as another sandwich chain plants a flag in Georgia.
Potbelly Sandwich Works opened its first location in the Peach State earlier this month, and will soon be celebrating the opening in style.

The Georgia Potbelly is located in Chamblee at 5001 Peachtree Blvd. This is northeast of Brookhaven, about 13 miles from downtown Atlanta. A second location is planned for Forsyth Town Center in Cumming with a tentative opening of later this year, according to WSB-TV.

Potbelly grand opening
Multiple news outlets have confirmed Potbelly will be hosting a grand opening celebration for its Chamblee location on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m.
to noon.
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony, games, prizes, and giveaways. The first 50 guests in line will receive free Potbelly for a year.

Potbelly was founded in Chicago in 1977. They pride themselves on never skimping on size or quality. The menu has typical sandwich shop options like a veggie melt and tuna salad as well as more eclectic options like the pizza melt and sweet heat pork BBQ.
There are also wraps and salads as well as cookies and shakes for dessert.
Potbelly hours
Potbelly is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
