As Halloween draws near, a Savannah Highlands family is embracing the spooky season. Near the end of St. Mary’s Circle, you will find Greg Pettiford’s home, which has transformed into "Grim Acres."
The elaborate display theme comes from the 1965 television series "Green Acres". Spooky decorations, larger-than-life props and lots of photo-worthy scenes tell a haunting story.
Visitors are welcome to stop by and enjoy the festive atmosphere. On Halloween night, Grim Acres will go all out with movies and lots of fun for trick-or-treaters.
“Last year we had over 500 kids out here and they seemed to really enjoy it.” Pettiford said. “We had a blast and we’re looking forward to seeing what kind of crowds we can get this year."
Grim Acres is located at 106
St. Mary's Circle inside the Cumberland Point subdivision.
