Best place to work in Georgia? Forbes names top 10 employers

Forbes analyzed over 1,300 companies to determine the best employers in each state. While some of Georgia's top 100 are based here, the majority of the top 10 are not.

The rankings were determined through a partnership with Statista to survey more than 245,000 employees. They were asked how likely they were to recommend their respective employers on a scale of 0-10 and to assess their respective workplaces based on wages, benefits, flexibility, career advancement, and other criteria. They were also asked to evaluate previous employers, but more weight in the final tally was given to more recent data.

2. Delta Air Lines from Atlanta
3. Google from Mountain View, CA
4. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
5. Costco Wholesale from Issaquah, WA
6. Ford Motor from Dearborn, MI
7. Victoria's Secret from Reynoldsburg, OH
8. Comcast from Philadelphia
9. Marriott International from Bethesda, MD
10. Northrop Grumman from Falls Church, VA

Top Georgia-based employers for 2026

Earlier this year, Forbes also ranked the best large employers in America in another partnership with Statista based on similar criteria with more than 217,000 surveyed responses. Here were the top 10 from Georgia and where they rank in the "Best Employers by State" list:

1. Delta Air Lines: 1st in Georgia, 13th in U.S.
2. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta: 4th in Georgia, 45th in U.S.
3. Southern Company: 91st in Georgia, 110th in U.S.
4. Forsyth County School District: 58th in Georgia, 156th in U.S.
5. Georgia Southern University: 59th in Georgia, 171st in U.S.
6. Coca-Cola: 36th in Georgia, 225th in U.S.
7. American Cancer Society: 244th in U.S. (not in Georgia's top 100)
8. Innova Solutions: 272nd in U.S. (not in Georgia's top 100)
9. Mohawk Industries: 62nd in Georgia, 324th in U.S.
10. Veritiv: 326th in U.S. (not in Georgia's top 100)
