This week kicks off early voting in Georgia for the 2026 midterms, and other voters across America will be doing the same soon if they haven't opened polls already. Marking the occasion is the next "No Kings" day of mass mobilization.
What is the No Kings organization?
"No Kings" is a non-violent political organization that mobilizes protests against President Donald Trump and his administration across the U.S. The group provides online resources (including training programs), and has partnerships with various businesses and advocacy groups.
It started with a nationwide day of mobilization on June 14, 2025 in conjunction with President Donald Trump's military parade as the event was an example of how his behavior is viewed by many as authoritarian in nature. That day saw 4-6 million
protesters nationwide.
Since then, "No Kings" has done two other nationwide protests in October and March, both of which saw millions of people turn out. They also organized watch parties for "Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment" in June.
When is the next No Kings protest 2026?
The next No Kings mobilization day is Saturday, Oct. 17. However, while there may be some marches and sign waiving, organizers have said this weekend's events will be largely nonpartisan voter-participation activities intended to encourage eligible voters.
