The Savannah area saw an 8.8% year-over-year increase in home sales in August, according to Redfin data.
There were 616 homes sold during the month, an increase over the 569 sold in August 2025. This year’s August sales were nearly flat month-to-month after July saw 613 sales.
The modest August increase over July still bucked a trend in recent years, where sales typically fell after July. In 2025, August sales dropped by 13 from the previous month.
The decline from July to August in 2024 was 43 homes.
This summer’s home sales have come in slightly above last year’s, although they have generally fallen short of the 3-year peaks set in 2024. The most homes sold in a month over the past three years was 728 in June of 2024.
