A man accused in an April 3 fatal shooting in Savannah has been indicted on multiple felony charges, including malice murder and cocaine trafficking.
Juan Ulmer was arrested and charged with malice murder, two counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and trafficking in cocaine.
According to court documents, Ulmer, allegedly with malice aforethought, shot and killed Kevin Milton in the 800 block of Carter Street.
When Savannah Police Department officers arrested Ulmer, they say he was found with more than 400 grams of cocaine.
Milton, 59, was taken to Memorial Health University Medical Hospital after being shot where he later died from his
injuries. His obituary states that Milton was described as kind and gentle.
“All who knew Kevin will remember him as someone who cared and shared moments with others. His passing marks the end of a life that mattered to those around him,” the obituary states.
Ulmer is set to appear in court on Oct. 26 to be arraigned by Chatham County Judge Tammy Stokes.
