Eastern Wharf's annual food truck festival returns to Savannah on Oct. 3 with 28 food trucks, live music, Savannah Bananas players and a variety of family-friendly activities.
The event is scheduled from 1 to 6 p.m. in the Riverfront Lot at The Park at Eastern Wharf, 102 Port St., according to a community announcement. Admission is free and attendees will have access to food vendors, live entertainment and activities tied to the Savannah Bananas' playoff celebration.

Organizers said the festival has become a showcase for the region's expanding food truck community while also highlighting local musicians and businesses.

Food trucks, music and local vendors
Attendees will be able to purchase food ranging from Southern barbecue and wings to pizza, Latin cuisine, seafood, desserts and coffee from vendors across the region.
The festival lineup includes 520 Wings, Ark Royal Burgers, Big Mike's Southern Cooking, Bowtie Barbecue Co., Chazito's Latin Cuisine, Coastal Creamery & Pretzels, Don Ques Southern BBQ, It's A Jerk Shack, Keller Wood Fire Pizza, Kona Ice, Krazian, La Chalupa, Little Diddle's Sweetery, Lowcountry Lobster, Mac Attack, Mexicali Fresh Foodtruck, Mint to be Mobile, Okàn, Philly Boyz, Rita's Italian Ice and Custard, Robbin's Nest Simply Delicious, Royal Tasty Avenue, Sweet Spice Mobile, The Big Cheese, The Cone Ranger, The Red Taco Truck, Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck and WillYum's.
Live entertainment is planned throughout the afternoon on the Shipping Container Stage. Scheduled performances include Rockin Scott & the Hot Shots at 1:20 p.m., Little Gracie at 2:20 p.m., Unifya at 3:20 p.m. and Damon and the Shitkickers at 4:30 p.m.
Low Country Taps will operate a mobile bar during the event, while Mint To Be Mojito's will offer cocktails and mocktails through its Mint To Be Mobile concept. According to the announcement, Mint To Be Mojito Kitchen is expected to open at Eastern Wharf later this fall.

Savannah Bananas players to appear
A meet-and-greet featuring Banana Ball players is planned from 1 to 3 p.m. as part of Savannah's broader celebration of Savannah Bananas Playoff Weekend.
Festival attendees will be able to take photographs with participating players and obtain autographs. Organizers also said some food vendors will offer banana-themed menu items during the event.
Visitors can use the Playoff Pass mobile app, presented by Visit Savannah, to earn Savannah Bananas-themed prizes.
Event rules and activities
The festival also will feature a build-your-own trucker hat station operated by Savannah-based company Mess Hall. Organizers said the station will include an event-exclusive patch design created for the festival.
Outside food and beverages, coolers, carts and umbrellas will not be allowed. Lawn chairs will be permitted only in a designated stage-viewing area with limited capacity.
