Georgia has two contestantswith ties to the state competing on Season 30 of NBC’s The Voice.
Both singers are connected to the Atlantaarea and earned spots on Team Queen Latifah during their blind auditions.
Here's what to know.
Marcus Ladden Jr.
Marcus Ladden Jr., 19, is an Atlanta-area contestant and 2025 graduate of Pebblebrook High School in Mableton.
Ladden performed "Cry Me a River" during his blind audition, earning chair turns from Queen Latifah and Kelly Clarkson. He ultimately chose to join Team Queen Latifah.
Ladden has a background in musical theater and was involved in productions at Pebblebrook. He was also part of Sonic Edge, an a cappella group that won the International Championship of High School A Cappella
in New York in 2024.
His audition also highlighted his experience as a performer. Clarkson described him as both a singer and entertainer, while Latifah connected with his musical theater background.
Morgan Lett
Morgan Lett, 27, is an Atlanta-area singer who graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in music production.
Lett was raised in Akron, Ohio, but has built her music career in Atlanta and attended Georgia State. The university previously profiled her as a School of Music student pursuing a career as an R&B and pop artist.
During her The Voice blind audition, Lett performed Mary J. Blige’s "I’m Goin’ Down." Her performance earned chair turns and a spot on Team Queen Latifah.
Before appearing on The Voice, Lett had already performed professionally, including appearances connected to the Essence Fest and the Best of Harlem Gospel Choir. Georgia State also reported that she competed on American Idol in 2023.

Ladden and Lett are both competing under Queen Latifah after making it through their blind auditions.
For Ladden, the Atlanta connection goes back to his high school years at Pebblebrook. Lett's connection to Georgia comes through her time at Georgia State and her music career in the Atlanta area.
As Season 30 continues, the two singers give Georgia viewers a local connection to this season's competition.
Are the blind auditions over?
No. There's still a chance more Georgians could earn a spot on Season 30.
That means Georgia viewers may have more contestants to root for as the coaches continue building their teams.
Where can you watch 'The Voice'?
The Voice airs on NBC and streams on Peacock (the next day).
Season 30 premiered Sept. 21, with the first three episodes airing across three consecutive nights. The show returns to its regular Monday schedule beginning Sept. 28.
The next episode, "The Blind Auditions Part 4," is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 28, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
