Three men were arrested after investigators connected them to a series of vehicle break-ins reported in Chatham County's Bluffside neighborhood during the early morning hours of Oct. 5.
The arrests followed reports from residents and a review of home surveillance footage, according to a community announcement. Investigators said security cameras recorded four people moving through the neighborhood between about 3 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., checking vehicle door handles and entering vehicles that were left unlocked.
Residents reported stolen items from multiple vehicles. Police also said one vehicle was damaged during an apparent attempt to gain entry.
Authorities later located three suspects, including one accused of attempting to use a financial card
reported stolen during the incidents.
Chatham County police arrested Eugene Loury, 20, and Jamih Pryor, 20, on entering auto charges. Joshua Simmons, 20, was charged with financial card fraud. All three were transported to the Chatham County Detention Center.
Police did not identify the fourth person seen on surveillance video.
Investigation remains active
Investigators said the case remains active and urged anyone who discovers their vehicle was entered to report the incident as quickly as possible.
