An Eisner Award-winning artist and illustrator will return to Savannah next month as part of a nationwide tour celebrating the release of the comic series "Santos Sisters Vol. 2."
The appearance by Greg Petre at Neighborhood Comics is scheduled for Oct. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m., according to a community announcement. Petre will be joined by "Santos Sisters" co-creator Fake and cartoonist Rich Tomasso, creator of "Spy Seal."
Attendees will be able to purchase copies of "Santos Sisters Vol. 2," meet the creators and have books signed during the free two-hour event.
Petre's appearance marks a homecoming for the artist, who studied at Savannah College of Art and Design and later earned recognition with an Eisner Award.
The Savannah stop is part of the official
tour supporting the release of the second "Santos Sisters" collection, published by Fantagraphics, according to the announcement.
