For the 17th year, Covenant Children's and Spirit Halloween are partnering for the annual Spirit of Children fundraiser.
This fundraiser allows customers at Spirit Halloween to support Covenant Children's efforts. Using a coupon or code HOPE26 at checkout saves customers 10% on their purchases, according to a Covenant Health news release.
In turn, Spirit Halloween donates 10% to Covenant Health. Spirit of Children also has an online donation option at spirithalloween.com/content.jsp?pageName=soc.
This year's donations will go toward play and therapeutic tools for bedside play sessions, sensory tools, comfort items, music therapy, creative arts experiences, therapeutic playroom visits and more, according to Covenant Health's news release.
“Through
Spirit Halloween's ongoing support, patients and families across our region have access to resources that bring comfort, healing, and a sense of normalcy during their hospital stay," said Jessica Marlar, Senior Philanthropy Officer at Covenant Health. "Whether it's singing with a music therapist, finding comfort through toys, sensory items, and art, or coping with a new diagnosis alongside a child life specialist, Spirit Halloween helps ensure our teams have the resources they need to care for every child and family. We are grateful to be a recipient of the community’s ongoing generosity as they prepare for Halloween each year,”
Lubbock Spirit Halloween locations include:
- 5025 50th St.
- 2502 50th St.
- 6002 Slide Road
Last year, the partnership resulted in $53,500, which broke the prior record. Past donations have funded a part-time child life specialist, artists in residence program, and keeping Lindsay's Playroom stocked.
