South Plains College’s total enrollment in Fall 2026 increased by 1.6% from last fall, reaching 9,642 students.
Key areas, including dual credit, continue to drive enrollment growth, reflecting demand for flexible learning options, according to a news release from SPC.
Current dual-credit enrollment is at 3,767 students, while Fall 2025 dual-credit enrollment reached 3,386 (an 11.3-percent increase). Dual enrollment allows high school students to earn transferable college credits, reducing the time needed to earn a college degree. In addition, internet enrollment grew by 3 percent to 3,524 students.

with our regional high school partners continues to support our growth in dual credit students. High school students have an incredible opportunity to earn college credit and quickly obtain a college credential or degree, and we are honored to help them achieve their educational dreams.”
