The United Family supermarkets are offering grocery coupons to people who get flu shots at their pharmacies starting this month.
Pharmacies at participating local United Supermarkets, Albertsons Market, Market Street and Amigos will offer flu immunizations, for free with most insurance plans, according to a news release Wednesday. People who get qualifying vaccinations will get a coupon for up to $20 off their next grocery purchase.
“Caring for our communities means helping our guests stay healthy and prepared,” said Tim Purser, director of pharmacy for The United Family. “Our pharmacy teams make it easy and convenient for families to receive flu vaccinations and other recommended immunizations as they head into the fall season.”
The pharmacies
also offer vaccinations for pneumonia, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), shingles, hepatitis B, tetanus and HPV, when available.
Appointments can be made online, through the store website or app. Walk-ins are welcome.
The store pharmacists can review vaccination history, suggest additional immunizations, and answer questions.
