The Haunted Tour of Texas Tech University is officially set for 2026, and tickets are on sale now.
Just before noon on Monday, Raider Power of the Paranormal, the student organization that runs the tour, began selling tickets for their 6th annual 'frightraising' event. Here's what you should know ahead of this spooky season highlight.
What is the Haunted Tour of TTU?
The tour starts at the Texas Tech Dairy Barn and stops at 13 locations over a 1.5-mile walking tour across campus, which takes about an hour. The tours are led by a lantern bearer, and each stop features student storytellers sharing the paranormal history of the university.
Like most ghost stories, the origin can usually be tied to a specific event. RPOP has researched these tales through interviews with longtime
Tech staff members and combing through historical archives. Stories told on the tour date back at least 50 years, if tied to an event, out of respect for those impacted.
Since the tour is under a no-spoilers policy and copyrighted, you have to go to know what will be there. However, prior members of RPOP said attendees can expect a great show. RPOP's tour is a combined effort with the Military and Veterans program and the School of Theater & Dance.
When is the Haunted Tour of TTU?
The event is on Oct. 24, with the first tour group starting at 8 p.m. and the last tour beginning at 11:15 p.m. This is a one-day only event.
How to get tickets for the Haunted Tour of TTU?
People can buy tickets in advance at rpop.ticketspice.com/haunted-tour-of-campus for $6.50 per ticket, which includes the fee. Last year, online tickets sold out by Oct. 10. A limited amount of tickets will be available on the day of at the event, but there will be a line.
Due to the nature of some of the legends, the organization warns parents if could be considered PG-13, though there is no age restriction. Children 3 years old and younger get in free.
