Here are the top performers from Week 3 in Lubbock-area high school football.
Jayric Ward, Estacado
Ward was 24-of-29 passing for 496 yards
and seven TDs in a win over Snyder. He also ran for 10 yards on three carries.
Jaivyth Cruz, Ropes
Cruz ran for 227 yards and five TDs on 25 carries in a win over Texico (N.M.). He also posted 11 tackles (three solo), including three for a loss, and a sack.
Chrishod Dial, Estacado
Dial recorded four catches for 210 yards — an average of 52.5 yards — and three TDs.
Logan Winn, Shallowater
Winn was 26-of-48 passing for 289 yards, four TDs and an interception in a win over Canadian. He also ran six times for 52 yards.
Brayden Hurst, Idalou
Hurst was 13-of-16 passing for 197 yards and four TDs in a win over Levelland. He added 13 yards on four carries.
Jax Malone, New Deal
Malone ran 14 times for 120 yards and recorded three sacks in a win over Slaton. He totaled four tackles, all for a loss.
A.J. Huddleston, Idalou
Huddleston ran for 170 yards and two TDs on nine carries.
Kory Cross, Coronado
Cross had eight receptions for 182 yards in a loss to Frenship Memorial.
Sammy Saenz, Littlefield
Saenz completed 15-of-21 passes for 184 yards, two TDs and two interceptions in a win over Abernathy. He also ran for 123 yards and a TD on 22 carries.
Jude Heard, Idalou
Heard ran 12 times for 144 yards and two TDs.
Jackson Attebury, New Deal
Attebury ran for 82 yards and three TDs on 10 carries. He also completed 2-of-8 passes for 54 yards and a TD.
Kaden Riker, Ropes
Riker recorded 17 tackles (six solo), including six for a loss, and two sacks. He also notched four two-point conversions.
Tak Miller, Farwell
Miller ran for 82 yards on 14 carries, caught a 73-yard TD and had a 54-yard punt-return TD in a loss to Amarillo River Road. He also recorded an interception on defense.
Cooper Hammock-Wilson, Idalou
Hammock-Wilson caught four passes for 118 yards and two TDs.
Micah Blackshear, Shallowater
Blackshear made eight catches for 98 yards and two TDs.
Shamus Wright Jr., Estacado
Wright ran for 32 yards and a TD on four carries, adding two catches for 46 yards.
Gavin Guajardo, Shallowater
Guajardo recorded seven catches for 86 yards and a TD.
Jonas Camacho, Littlefield
Camacho ran for 103 yards on 16 carries.
Jayden Barrio, Littlefield
Barrio made nine catches for 88 yards.
Javon Bozeman, Estacado
Bozeman ran 10 times for 75 yards.
