Adam Levy, a lawyer and former district attorney in Putnam County, has, like his mother before him, turned to TV.
That mother is Judge Judy Sheindlin who's passed the gavel to Levy, a litigator with 25 years' experience, most recently as a presiding judge on Prime Video’s "Tribunal Justice" and "Justice on Trial."
"Adam's Law," which premiered Sept. 14, is produced by CBS Media Ventures and Queen Bee Productions, the latter of which is created by Judge Sheindlin and her award-winning team.
Sheindlin's advice to her son? "Have fun and don't screw this up." At least that's what he toldJessica Moore on CBS News York on Sept. 17. He also said he wants to do a good product and make
sure she's proud.
The show has been described, in a press release, as "fierce, unfiltered and dedicated to making the justice system fair." He said he has a similar temperament to his mother — "it's in the DNA," he said — but he thinks he may be a little bit more patient, at least for now.
"Adam's Law" airs on WCBS-TV weekdays at 3:30 p.m. as well as at 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. weekdays at WLNY 55 weekdays. More information at adamslaw.tv.
