Nyack Public Schools hosted its second annual RedHawk ReadyFest on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, to get ready for the new school year.
Students and families gathered at MacCalman Field for an afternoon of fun with free food, prizes, book bags and other festivities.
"This is so indicative of what Nyack is, when community comes together to support our families, support our students and get us RedHawk ready for the new school year," said Superintendent Lizzette Ruiz-Giovinazzi. "This is really the work of the community, I'm so proud and humbled to be a part of it."
A school year is 180 days, with no two days and no two schools exactly alike. The students differ, the teachers differ, school cultures
