It's time to take a look at the standout performers from the first week-plus of the volleyball season.
We'd like you to choose the lohud Volleyball Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital. Finalists and their credentials are listed below. The poll will remain open until 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10. The winner will be announced Thursday on lohud sports social media.
Nominees are based on play from the beginning of the season to Sept. 6.

Maria DeGaetano, John Jay-Cross River
The senior libero had 15 digs, two aces and two assists in the Wolves' season-opening sweep of Peekskill.
Georgie Haas, Blind Brook
The senior libero had 46 digs and 16 aces in a pair of wins over Port Chester and Westlake.
Michaela Lopane, Harrison
The junior outside hitter had an ace, 14 kills and six digs against Mamaroneck.
Amelie Modesto, Rye
The senior setter totaled 56 assists, four kills, 11 digs and eight aces in wins over Tappan Zee and Valhalla.
Zoe Santana, Hendrick Hudson
The sophomore libero totaled eight aces, 22 digs and seven assists in wins over Byram Hills and Ketcham.
Gianna Sirena, Port Chester
The senior hitter had 17 kills and five aces over the first week of the season.
Connie Tao, Horace Greeley
The senior outside hitter totaled 22 kills, eight aces, 14 digs and two assists in wins over Ardsley and Somers.
