Trader Joe's is promoting several new goodies for summer's latter weeks — and gearing up for the new school year.
The grocery store's August flyeris out. "It's a study in values for the back-to-school season," the flyer says.
Westchester County has Trader Joe's stores in Hartsdale, Larchmont, Scarsdale, and Yorktown. Another store is slated to open in Yonkers sometime near the end of the year.

Easy lunches and breakfasts for back-to-school
Trader Joe's croissant sandwiches and barbecue potato chips are good "for easy lunch prep," the flyer said, adding that there are also "power study sessions with yellow peaches, pretzel sticks, and crepes."
It highlights the store's homestyle chicken salad croissant sandwich
and tuna salad croissant sandwich, both of which retail for $4.49.
Another item in the store's August flyer: Trader Joe's organic peanut butter and cocoa crunch cereal is another featured item. "About half of the puffs are flavored with Organic Peanut Butter, and the other half with Organic fair trade Cocoa powder," the flyer reads. A 10-ounce box is $3.79.
Tasty snacks sure to satisfy
Trader Joe's BBQ-flavored potato chips, at $2.99, "are made for us by an esteemed snack supplier, who slices their potatoes in such a way as to maximize their broad, bountiful surface area and provide a resounding crunch with every bite," according to the flyer. "They also use a truly bold and full-flavored suite of classic BBQ sauce-inspired seasonings, which results in a profoundly tasty chip that complements hot dogs, burgers, and grilled fare of all sorts
Another item: ranch flavored rolled corn tortilla chips.
"Where their chile lime cousins are tangy and hot, the ranch rolled tortilla chips are creamy, herby, and well-rounded," the flyer said. "They get their bold, yet markedly mellow flavor via a suite of savory seasonings and spices, including buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley."
Trader Joe's recommended pairing the chips with a guacamole or cheese dip.
